Job Description

Bellecour, Gavin Kaysen’s French-influenced bakery and café in Minneapolis' North Loop, is looking for a Morning Pastry Prep Cook & Baker to:

• Efficiently complete daily bake off & prep lists
• Proactively communicate station needs, including special order ingredients
• Adhere to health and sanitation requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

We are looking for a Morning Pastry Prep Cook & Baker who has:

• A warm and positive demeanor
• Comfortable in an open kitchen environment
• Ability to work independently while also actively supporting other team members throughout the restaurant
• Ability to stay focused and organized, prioritizing multiple tasks and maintaining careful attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate, give and take constructive criticism, and work productively as a team
• Fine dining or upscale restaurant/bakery experience is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Morning & weekend availability
• Shift start: 4-5 AM
• Conversational English vocabulary
• Ability to stand on your feet for up to 10-12 hours
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must have a reliable smartphone capable of downloading and running the Opsi app to access daily prep lists and recipes

• Paid Time Off (PTO), in accordance with Minnesota's Earned Sick and Safe Time law, is accrued at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked and is available for use as soon as it is accrued.
• Employer-subsidized health, dental, accident, life, and short term disability insurance plans are available to Full-Time employees (30+ hours worked per week) after 90 days of employment.
