Job Description

VIP Event Staff

As a member of our VIP Event Staff, you will be responsible for supporting VIP operations and managing the VIP entrance during events at the Amphitheater. This role helps ensure a smooth, welcoming, and professional experience for VIP guests by verifying credentials, scanning tickets, issuing wristbands, assisting with entry, and providing information about VIP amenities and services. VIP Event Staff are expected to maintain a high level of customer service, professionalism, and discretion while assisting guests and monitoring access to designated VIP areas. This is a seasonal, part-time, event-based position that will begin June 2026 and end September 2026.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Welcome VIP guests in a professional and enthusiastic manner at the VIP entrance.
  • Scan tickets, verify credentials, and issue wristbands for VIP areas in accordance with event procedures.
  • Ensure only properly credentialed guests enter VIP areas and politely refuse admittance when credentials are not valid.
  • Monitor VIP areas and entrances to ensure access is limited to guests with appropriate credentials.
  • Provide information regarding VIP amenities, seating areas, and event services.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
  • Assist guests with disabilities in accordance with ADA guidelines, including assistance with entry, seating, and accessibility needs when appropriate.
  • Assist with verifying staff credentials in restricted or VIP-access areas when directed by supervisors or management.
  • Address guest concerns or complaints in a calm and professional manner and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Maintain professional conduct and discretion while working around VIP guests, performers, vendors, and employees.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies and notify management as necessary.
  • Assist with directing guests to designated safety areas in the event of an emergency.
  • Assist with light cleanup of VIP entrances and VIP areas following events, including removal of cups, cans, and other debris.
  • Adhere to the dress code and present yourself in a professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in guest services, hospitality, customer service, or event operations preferred.
  • Experience with electronic ticketing or ticket scanning systems is helpful but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a friendly, positive demeanor.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work hours are casual, seasonal, and event-based and are not guaranteed.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time during event shifts.
  • Ability to climb stairs and maneuver throughout the venue when assisting guests.
  • Ability to move quickly and safely between areas of the venue when necessary.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and hear guests or coworkers in a loud event environment.
  • Ability to work in loud, crowded, and fast-paced environments typical of concerts and live events.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions including rain, heat, and humidity.
