The Hospital

The multidisciplinary team typically includes veterinarians, credentialed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and client-service coordinators, supported by structured onboarding, mentorship, and employer-backed continuing education.
Core services span preventive and wellness care, comprehensive exams, vaccinations, dental and general surgical procedures, microchipping, orthopedic evaluations, behavior support, and dermatology/skin care. The Role
- Provide medical leadership across assigned hospital locations, fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture focused on high-quality, consistent care
- Lead, coach, and develop associate veterinarians; oversee onboarding and skills progression in medicine, dentistry, and surgery
- Conduct clinical quality reviews, medical record audits, and patient safety evaluations; drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Split time between leadership and clinical duties based on hospital needs; serve as a working manager in the hospital environment
- Partner with practice management to achieve operational and clinical goals, including client experience and access to care
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including controlled substance management and adherence to local, state, and federal requirements
- Support recruitment efforts, host student externs and candidates, and act as a positive presence in the local veterinary community
- Oversee medical equipment needs and maintenance in collaboration with leadership
- Address escalated medical concerns and ensure timely, client-centered resolutions

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active or eligible license to practice veterinary medicine in Pennsylvania
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility) and knowledge of controlled substance protocols
- Progressive clinical experience with competency in general medicine, dentistry, and routine soft-tissue surgery
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring, performance coaching, and team building
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; comfort with medical software and digital records
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings and weekends consistent with hospital hours
