Sommelier

Graciela — West Village, NYC
Graciela is a new Argentine fine‑dining tavern in the West Village, built around open‑fire cooking, seasonal ingredients, and a wine program that celebrates terroir, craftsmanship, and honest winemaking. We’re creating a space where warmth, precision, and storytelling define the guest experience — and we’re looking for a Sommelier who wants to help shape that culture from the ground up.

About the Role
The Sommelier will be a key member of our opening team, working closely with the Wine Director to bring a thoughtful, producer‑driven beverage program to life. This is a guest‑facing and operational role: part educator, part host, part curator. You’ll work a minimum of four floor shifts per week, with a combination of administrative hourly pay and tipped hourly pay.

Responsibilities
• Provide warm, informed, and intuitive hospitality on the dining room floor
• Guide guests through wine selections with confidence, curiosity, and approachability
• Support ongoing staff education through tastings, training, and service mentorship
• Maintain inventory accuracy, organization, and par levels
• Update wine lists and ensure all printed and digital materials are current
• Assist with cellar management
• Drive wine sales through storytelling, pairing recommendations, and menu fluency
• Uphold the standards of a fine‑dining environment while contributing to a relaxed, tavern‑like spirit
