We own Patreon Live, Chats, Comments, Reactions, Drops, and emerging collaboration features, the social layer that makes Patreon a place fans want to return to every day.Our mission is to help fans feel connected, seen, and part of something, and to help creators lead vibrant communities that reflect their identity and values. We operate across iOS, Android, Web, and Backend, partnering closely with Product, Design, Data, and Trust & Safety to build experiences that are engaging, safe, and deeply meaningful within niche fandoms.This is a fit-finding space — we move from hypothesis to shipped product quickly, with tight feedback loops between eng, product, and data.About the RoleOwn and deliver well-scoped full stack product feature milestones that help creators create content on Patreon.Drive technical design of components that are scalable, well tested and are easy to maintainCollaborate with product managers, data scientists, designers, and other engineers to deliver high quality features.Champion innovative solutions that enhance the usability and engagement with discovery featuresWhat you'll need5+ years of experience in software developmentExperience with React, next.js, Typescript or JavascriptExperience with Python or a similar languageExperience with SQL.Solid communication skills with cross-functional team membersEager to take on new challenges and expand skill setBuild a strong product-minded engineering culture by mentoring and guiding engineersBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or the equivalent professional experienceWe hire talented and passionate people from different backgrounds because workplace diversity and inclusion is critical to our ability to serve creators worldwide.
