JOB TITLE: Part Time Unarmed Security Officer

SUMMARY:

Veterans Covert Protection Group is a California licensed, veteran owned private security firm based in Pleasanton, CA. We operate across corporate security, executive protection, residential security, and event security. We are looking for part time unarmed security officers to support active client engagements across the greater Bay Area. Shifts vary week to week based on client demand with no guaranteed minimum hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct foot patrols and stationary observation at assigned client sites per post orders.
• Monitor access points and perimeters for unauthorized activity or safety concerns.
• Document and report observations using VCPG digital reporting tools.
• Respond calmly to incidents and coordinate with supervisors or emergency services when needed.
• Maintain communication with the operations team throughout each shift.
• Represent VCPG with a high standard of conduct at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid California Guard Card required at time of application.
• Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation to various client locations in the Bay Area.
• Smartphone capable of running VCPG mobile applications.
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods.
• Strong verbal communication and composure under pressure.
• Must pass a background screening prior to placement.
• Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience preferred but not required.

SCHEDULE:

• Shifts vary week to week.
• Day, evening, and overnight assignments are all possible.
• Individual shifts range from a minimum of 4 hours up to 12 hours depending on client need.
• Weekly and monthly availability is collected from all hired officers, and assignments are made only within the availability each officer has provided.
• No guaranteed minimum hours.
