We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Litigation experience and Alafile / Alacourt knowledge
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently,
• Must have excellent time management skills, be organized, and be able to multitask.
• Must have proficient knowledge of computers,
• Family law litigation experience,
• Criminal Law experience will be given preference,
• Communicate well with others.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Draft legal correspondence,
• Prepare pleadings for filing and drafting certificates of service/mailing.
• Maintain case files,
• Assist in billing,
• Assist with discovery,
• Monitor county dockets,
• Accurate calendaring,
• Other support duties assigned by the attorney.

Skills

• Strong research skills with a solid understanding of family law principles.
• Excellent proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to transcribe legal documents accurately and efficiently.
• Familiarity with legal administrative tasks within a family law and criminal law context.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
