Maintenance Mechanic

Shift: 2nd | 2 pm to 10 pm & 3rd | 10 pm to 6 am

Pay Rate: starting at $30+ per hour (depending on experience)

Location: Griffin, GA

Employment Type: Temporary to Hire

PrideStaff is looking for hard-working individuals to work for a client in Griffin, GA. This company manufactures steel studs used for commercial construction.

Position Details:

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

Requirements:

• Seven (7) to ten (10) year experience of industrial equipment maintenance and/or controls design/construction/maintenance, pneumatic & hydraulics, power tools, hand tools, gas and diesel engines, forklift, heavy trucks, trailers.
• Single-phase and 3-phase electrical proficiency.
• Arc, TIG, MIG and Oxy-Acetylene welding experience.
• Machine Shop experience, turning simple shafts, cutting keyways, drilling and tapping holes.
• Able to read drawings/blueprints, fabricate from and direct others according to drawings.
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse (in the summer it will be HOT and in the winter it will be COLD)
• MUST Pass a math test and a Tape Measure test
• Pass a pre-employment Drug Screen and Federal Background Check
