We are currently seeking talented Freelance 3D Animators to join our growing network of collaborators. These are project-based opportunities, perfect for artists who enjoy the variety of working on different brand aesthetics and the flexibility of a remote-first workflow.

As part of the Ironbridge Labs team, you will not just be “moving assets.” You will be tasked with crafting performance-driven animation that communicates character, story, and emotion with cinematic clarity. Whether you are animating a brand mascot for a social campaign or developing photorealistic product movements for a broadcast commercial, your work will be the bridge between our creative directors’ vision and the final audience experience.

Key Responsibilities as

Your daily contributions will be essential to maintaining the high quality our clients expect. Your core responsibilities include:

• Character and Object Animation: Bringing life to expressive characters and complex objects, ensuring that every movement serves the narrative intent.
• Performance-Driven Storytelling: Crafting performances that resonate with viewers. We are looking for animators who understand that timing, weight, and appeal are not just technical requirements—they are the tools of storytelling.
• Pipeline Collaboration: Working closely with our directors, designers, and producers to ensure that the animation aligns with the broader creative vision of the project.
• End-to-End Workflow: Taking ownership of your shots from the blocking phase through to final polish, ensuring every frame meets our high standards for broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
• Adaptability: The ability to pivot between vastly different brand aesthetics—from sleek, minimalist corporate styles to high-energy, stylized character work.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking professionals who have “been there, done that” in the commercial world. To be successful in our freelance community, you should possess:

• Professional Provenance: Demonstrated experience as a 3D Animator, specifically within commercial, branded, or advertising projects.
• Tooling Mastery: Proficiency in industry-standard software, specifically Maya or Blender . Familiarity with 3ds Max is considered an additional asset.
• The Reel: A strong demo reel is the most important part of your application. It should clearly showcase your ability to handle character performance and tell a story, even within a short-form format.
• Core Principles: A rock-solid understanding of animation fundamentals—timing, spacing, arcs, anticipation, and appeal. You know the rules, and you know how to break them to achieve the right effect.
• Bonus Skills: We love a “Swiss Army Knife” animator. If you have motion graphics experience, a background in product animation, or technical experience with Unreal Engine or Unity, please highlight those skills!
