Base pay range $46,000.00/yr - $50,000.00/yr Graphic Designer Job Description Our Lighting Brand® is a full‑service Graphic Design, Marketing, and Software Company that exclusively services the Commercial and Industrial Lighting Community. Our brand design team assists clients with a full range of marketing needs, including design, strategy, execution, and ongoing maintenance. The Graphic Designer position is tailored to help facilitate the production of assets for Your Lighting Brand’s design projects and retainer clients. This position reports to a Lead Graphic Designer and a department leader and assists with our full‑service design offerings with tasks ranging from the ongoing management of existing sales & marketing projects to creating new print and digital collateral as required per client. Pay Range: $46,000 - 50,000 per year ***Please include a link to your portfolio*** Primary Duties Designing visual materials: Create various visual assets such as logos, icons, technical documentation, sales collateral, brochures, social media and email marketing graphics, tradeshow graphics, and website elements. Collaborate with the clients, project coordinators, and/or other project participants to understand project assignment, audience, timeline, and intended message. Attend meetings, gather feedback, and make adjustments to designs based on client and brand manager input. Work effectively and efficiently to ensure that end results meet or exceed our brand and quality standards. Generate original creative concepts and ideas that align with project requirements and brand standards. Brainstorm, sketch, and create rough drafts to explore different visual approaches before refining and finalizing designs. Have a keen eye for composition and effectively arrange visual elements, typography, and imagery to create balanced and visually appealing designs. Consider factors like hierarchy, readability, and usability while organizing information in print or digital mediums. Have a passion for informational and editorial design. Prepare final design files for print or digital distribution, ensuring correct file formats, resolutions, and color modes. Collaborate with printers or developers to ensure the design is reproduced accurately. Collaborate with team members such as copywriters, marketers, visualizations teammates and web developers. Communicate ideas effectively, present design concepts, and incorporate feedback to produce the desired final product. Work directly with Lead Graphic Designer and Project Coordinator(s) to prioritize and schedule competing deadlines and projects to meet goals. Stay updated with the latest design trends, software updates, and emerging technologies. Continuously expand your skill set to deliver modern and innovative designs. Other duties to support the team as our client needs or base grows. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Design, a related field, or equivalent experience required. Experience with and excitement for Informational and Editorial Design. 0-2 years of work experience in a similar role (B2B marketing and/or industrial industry a plus). 2-4 years of professional experience with firm knowledge of Adobe design software. Strong graphic design skills with a thorough understanding of design principles, including branding, layout, typography, and color theory. Extremely precise attention to text edits required. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage workload and communicate up and across to other teams. Strong work ethic and sense of accountability. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail. Thrives in a collaborative team environment for feedback and brainstorming. Works well independently with a self‑motivated drive for project completion. Ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed. Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and chat. Ability to learn and adapt to changing software and platforms.
