Hospitality Gift Shop Attendant – Job Description Position Summary The Hospitality Gift Shop Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining store appearance, and assisting guests with purchases in a gift shop setting. This role supports overall guest satisfaction by creating a friendly and efficient shopping experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and offer assistance with product selection
  • Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately (cash, credit, etc.)
  • Maintain knowledge of store merchandise, including pricing and promotions
  • Restock shelves and ensure displays are neat, organized, and visually appealing
  • Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items
  • Answer guest questions about products and local attractions
  • Handle returns and exchanges according to store policy
  • Keep the shop clean, including counters, floors, and display areas
  • Follow loss prevention and security procedures
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet sales goals
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math and cash-handling ability
  • Friendly, professional demeanor
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light merchandise
