Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support and maintain a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for implementing and monitoring environmental, health, and safety programs while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about promoting a safety culture throughout the organization.
salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities
Safety & Health - Support and maintain the company's Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and EHS programs.
- Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments across manufacturing and warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA regulations, including Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Machine Guarding, PPE, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Heat Illness Prevention, and Powered Industrial Truck Safety.
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate safety meetings and deliver employee safety training.
- Maintain OSHA logs, injury records, and other required compliance documentation.
- Support emergency preparedness, including drills and response planning.
Environmental Compliance - Assist with hazardous waste management, hazardous materials reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain environmental permits and documentation.
- Support spill prevention, stormwater compliance, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate environmental inspections and corrective actions.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement - Maintain EHS records, training documentation, and compliance metrics.
- Monitor regulatory changes and update policies as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve workplace safety and compliance.
- Support contractor safety programs and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
