Job Description

Gibbs Group, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Construction to lead our construction operations and ensure the successful execution of projects. This role is critical in overseeing all phases of construction, from planning to completion, while ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:

    • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the construction team.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and safety among all team members.
  • Project Oversight:

    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Budget Management:

    • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.
    • Conduct regular financial reviews and reporting for ongoing projects.
  • Quality Assurance:

    • Implement and maintain high standards of quality control throughout the construction process.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Address any issues that arise during construction promptly and effectively.
  • Team Development:

    • Mentor and develop construction staff, promoting professional growth and skill development.
    • Ensure adequate training and resources are provided for all team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and construction-related tools.
