Job Description

Salary: $127,000 - 167,000 per year Requirements:

• We require six years of relevant experience in applied research, big data analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, operations research, or a closely related quantitative or mathematical field.
• We require at least three years of direct machine learning experience.
• We require an advanced degree, such as a masters or PhD, in statistics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, operations research, or a closely related quantitative or mathematical field.
• A PhD may substitute for up to three years of relevant experience.
• We need demonstrated knowledge of data mining methods, databases, data visualization, and machine learning.
• We need the ability to communicate analysis techniques, concepts, and deliverables clearly.
• We need the ability to develop data-driven solutions, data models, and visualizations.
• Candidates must be located in the Washington, DC Metro Area / National Capital Region (DMV).
• Preferred experience and skills include Qlik for embedding visualizations into webpages, Databricks or similar cloud-based distributed database technologies, PySpark and Python, and complex SQL for extracting, transforming, and loading data.

• We apply expert knowledge in statistical analysis, complex data mining, and artificial intelligence to turn data into value.
• We provide consulting on mining and analyzing data from multiple sources to convert raw information into concise, actionable insights.
• We design and implement data-driven solutions with a focus on advanced analytical methods, data models, and visualizations.
• We develop quantitative simulations and models to support descriptive and predictive analytics recommendations.
• We identify trends and issues through complex big data analysis.
• We stay current with emerging tools and techniques in machine learning, statistical modeling, and analytics.
