Job Summary
We are seeking a bilingual Call Center Representative for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in San Juan, PR, supporting healthcare providers in the insurance industry. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who is comfortable handling inbound calls, navigating multiple computer systems, and assisting physician offices and clinics with eligibility, claims, billing, payments, authorizations, and benefits questions.

The Call Center Representative will play an important role in creating a positive provider experience by delivering accurate information, clear communication, and efficient issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls from healthcare providers, physician offices, and clinics in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with inquiries related to benefits and eligibility, claims and billing, payments, treatment authorizations, and Explanation of Benefits.
- Provide live chat support for member eligibility and claims status questions.
- Navigate multiple computer systems to research provider inquiries and resolve issues accurately.
- Document calls, issues, resolutions, and service trends clearly and completely.
- Work toward first-call resolution while maintaining a positive provider service experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $13 per hour.
- Job Type: Full-time, temp-to-hire.
- Start Date: October 12, 2026.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM AST.
- Shift Requirement: Must be flexible to work any assigned 8-hour shift within the hours of operation.
- Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico.
- Openings: 10 positions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support healthcare providers with questions related to eligibility, claims, billing, payments, benefits, and authorizations.
- Research and resolve provider inquiries using multiple computer systems and internal resources.
- Document provider interactions accurately to support service quality and reporting.
- Deliver professional bilingual customer service by phone and live chat.
- 1 or more years of experience in customer service, administrative, clerical, office, call center, or a related environment.
- Healthcare experience is required.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- Previous experience using phones and computers as primary job tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and PC applications.
- Ability to learn and navigate new and complex computer systems.
- Strong verbal communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to document information accurately.
- Ability to research information, follow processes, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Professional, positive, and patient approach when assisting healthcare providers and office staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous call center experience in a healthcare, insurance, provider services, or claims support environment.
- Familiarity with claims status, member eligibility, billing inquiries, authorizations, and Explanation of Benefits.
- Experience working in a metric-driven customer service environment focused on quality, accuracy, and first-call resolution.
- Comfortable supporting providers or professional office staff through both phone and live chat channels.
