They are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Accounting Clerk to join their central finance team. In this role, you will manage core financial workflows, ensuring accurate and timely handling of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and donor/client reconciliations. You will work closely with finance leadership to uphold robust internal controls, leverage technology for process automation, and ensure strict financial stewardship across restricted and unrestricted funds. Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP): - Process vendor invoices accurately, verifying proper coding, approvals, and compliance with internal financial policies.
- Execute disbursements via check, ACH, and electronic transfers in alignment with payment terms and cash flow priorities.
- Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliations, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Maintain complete AP sub-ledger records and assist leadership with month-end account reconciliations and annual audit preparation.
Accounts Receivable (AR): - Generate and distribute donor, partner, and client invoices, ensuring strict adherence to grant and fund restrictions.
- Monitor aging accounts, track incoming receipts, and conduct professional follow-ups on outstanding balances.
- Process incoming payments (checks, credit cards, wire transfers) and apply funds accurately to appropriate accounts.
- Prepare AR aging and cash flow reports to support executive planning and development/fundraising tracking.
